Vanessa Somohano, PhD, MA she/her/ella

I am a Lisenced Clinical Psychologist serving adults residing in Oregon.

I specialize in the treatment of PTSD, relapse prevention, anxiety, and mood disorders, and have extensive training working with Veteran populations.

My goal as a provider is to work collaboratively with you and help you feel confident in the skills you build during our work together – that you can be your own fierce advocate no matter what life may bring.

Theraputic approach.

Informed by cognitive and behavioral principles, the techniques I employ help people develop more flexible ways of thinking about and responding to stressors or life changes, which can improve mood and daily functioning.

We will co-create a treatment plan that will be best suited to your needs, goals, and unique strengths. In turn, you may become more responsive and less reactive in moments of distress, empowering you to make decisions that are most aligned with your values.

In addition to my clinical training, I have published scientific papers to progress knowledge of best practice approaches to mental health care.
